City of Wahpeton

Population: 461 The town of Wahpeton lies on the west side of West Lake Okoboji along Highway 86. Gull Point State Park and the canal system make Wahpeton a nature lover’s dream. Primarily a residential community, it is also home to a restaurant, lakeside resorts, Lakeside Laboratory, the Okoboji Yacht Club, two campgrounds and three church camps. The city government focuses on maintaining the high quality of life enjoyed by both year-round and seasonal residents.
