There are so many things to keep you busy the hardest part will be deciding what to do!  If the group is feeling adventurous, maybe it’s time to give para-sailing or Axe throwing a try.  Give Extreme Water-sports a call to set up  parasailing or call The Throwing Post to reserve a lane and throw some axes.  You could also bring bikes and enjoy a whole day riding 40 plus miles of paved trails which wind throughout the Iowa Great Lakes.  When you get hungry or more thirsty, you can take a pit stop at Pub 19 Bar and Grill for amazing wood-fired pizza or locals hangout Woude’s Bay Bar!  The group may even want to try their hand at disc golf, an 18 hole course located in Kenue Park.

Eat / drink

Of course you will need to eat and drink while in Okoboji, it’s up to you to decide in which order you will do this!  If the drinking part comes first you will probably want to check out The Barn at Okoboji where you can also join a sand volleyball game, The Barefoot Bar, or take a brewery tour and grab a cold one at West O or Okoboji Brewing Company.  If you want one stop dinner and drinks on the deck check out The Okoboji Store, Water’s Edge at the Waterfront, Bracco, or Los Pueblos for a Mexican feast.  If only a burger or steak will satisfy swing by Tweeter’s for lunch or dinner and catch the game on one of their 10+ TV’s. The The Outrigger or Yesterday’s are also great stops for dinner.  If you are looking for a hearty breakfast to start the day off The Hutt Bar and Grill or O’Farrell Sisters will get your day started off right! Many of the local eateries and bars have entertainment all week long. Check the events calendar for options.

Okoboji is an anglers paradise, whether you are throwing a line in from the shore, a dock, or a boat we “almost” guarantee you will catch something to fuel your late night fish-telling stories.  Stop by Stan’s Bait and Tackle, Shucks Bait and Tackle or Kabele’s Trading post to get your fishing license, gear and ask where the fish are biting! If you want to ensure a successful day of catching fish without all the work and gear, make a reservation with one of our local fishing guides who are experts on where the fish are biting.  We have heard nothing but rave reviews about our Okoboji fishing guide services.

No trip to Okoboji is complete without a day on the lake and there are many ways to get out there! If you have an adventurous and experienced boat driver rent a boat for the afternoon at one of our many fine rental businesses. If you would rather leave the driving to a professional many rental facilities will provide a driver for an added fee. Also, there are many excursion boats departing from Okoboji Boat Works. There is also the Queen II, which departs several times a day from Arnolds Park Amusement Park. Before, after, or during your day on the lake you will surely be hungry and most definitely thirsty!  Dine and grab a drink at The Dry Dock, The Garden’s or The Barefoot Bar.
