Okoboji Blue Water Festival co-chairs Greg Drees and Julie Peterson have announced that The Wallflowers, one of rock’s most enduring acts over the past three decades, will take the festival stage at 9pm on Saturday August 9. “We are ecstatic that Jakob Dylan is bringing his renowned band to the festival,” Peterson said. “What a way to conclude our tenth annual water quality event.”
Dylan has been a prolific songwriter for 30 years, fusing his rock ‘n roll roots with introspective lyrics and a hard-hitting delivery. Though the bulk of his career has been spent playing with a band, he has also stepped outside that setting with solo work and collaborations with such artists as Eric Clapton, Beck, Neil Young and Fiona Apple.

Okoboji Blue Water Festival is also excited to announce The Nadas as the opening band for their feature concert. Known primarily as a fold-American act, The Nadas live show is authentic and polished with three decades of experience. The Nadas have shared the stage with bands such as. The Beach Boys, Bon Jovi, Big Head Todd, and others. “Festival goers from last year will remember The Nadas setting the stage for X Ambassadors, and that was a revved-up performance,” Drees said. “This is a tight band, and concert lovers are going to want to arrive early to catch their entire act.”
