Entering GRADES 5-9
This unique program is based in exploration! It is a fun combination of sailing and science and how discovery in both fields can work together in a STEM based program.
These classes are taught in partnership with Iowa Lakeside Laboratories and the Okoboji Sailing Center. Students will discover areas of science that include limnology, geology, dendrology and ornithology studies while sailing to destinations around West Lake Okoboji.

June 15-16 Where Did These Lakes Come From?
A regional focus on the Great Lakes Area formation that includes geologic and archeological perspectives. Afternoon sailing.
June 22-23 Investigating “Invasives”
A regional focus on the Great Lakes Area Invasive Species. Afternoon sailing.
June 29-30 Herpetology
The study of local reptiles and amphibians. Afternoon sailing
July 13-14 The Amazing World of Arachnids. Spider studies. Afternoon sailing.
July 20-21- TikTok on the Dock. Science for all.
