September 16 & 23rd: Clay Cylinders & Scenes | * Two week course: $24 members | $32

Students will roll out clay with a slab roller, smooth, and connect pieces to create a cylinder vessel approximately 10” in height. Using underglaze, students will use the clay cylinder like a canvas to paint a landscape scene from any season with underglaze paint. Pieces will be left to dry, bisque fired, and finished with a clear glaze firing. Pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 2.5 weeks after the class.

November 4,11, 18: Landscapes with India Ink

In this 3-session class, students will create a large semi-abstract landscape using India ink. Young artists will explore exciting techniques like wet-on-wet, dry brush, and resist, while using a variety of brushes to make expressive and unique marks. They’ll experiment with value changes—learning how to shift the ink from deep black to soft gray. To finish off their powerful compositions, students will add a surprise pop of color for a dramatic and creative twist! Register by: October 29th | Maximum: 20 students | Location: Youth Studio

December 2, 9, 16: Trees with Oil Paint

In this immersive 3-session class, teen artists will explore the perspective of looking up into the treetops and bring it to life using oil paints on canvas. Students will learn how to create texture, depth, and light through layering, brushwork, and color mixing techniques. By focusing on composition and the natural shapes of branches and leaves, they’ll capture the feeling of standing beneath a towering tree canopy. A great class for developing oil painting skills and perspective.  Register by: November 26th | Maximum: 20 students  | Location: Youth Studio
