The Dickinson County Museum preserves and shares the heritage of Dickinson County through a variety of exhibits. The Museum is one of the original depots found along the Chicago-Milwaukee-St. Paul Railroad, and it now houses an extensive collection that depicts the area’s historic railroad, agricultural, resort and industrial eras.
It’s all free at the Dickinson County Nature Center! Check out the live animals, indoor beehive, kids space area and all-new interactive exhibits in Pollinator Paradise. Head outside for the Nature playscape, disc-golf, trails and the Westport Schoolhouse. Year-round programming is also free.
The Indian Motorcycle Experience Center showcases current and historic Indian motorcycles, displays vintage artifacts and memorabilia, and offers visitors the opportunity to purchase exclusive factory merchandise. To relive days of the past in a one-room school, visit the Westport Rural Schoolhouse built in 1896 and used until 1952, Featuring historic primers, desks, piano and maps. Located in Kenue Park and open seasonally Tuesday through Sunday.
